The Stephen Birch Aquarium is the part of Scripps Institute in La Jolla that is open to the public. Fairly small, but a very nice place.
I remember Marineland very well. Even as a kid in the '50s, I would head straight for the numerous marine tanks while everyone else went to the dolphin or "Bubbles the Whale" shows. My mother now lives across the street from where it was.
I haven't heard of Shedd's, where's that?
