The simple solution... is not to stop working... untill you want to see the nice screensaver.
Or.. ....set the time until the screensaver starts... Desktop.. right click... properties.. select screen saver.. find settings.. adjust. Possibly you can set what happens when you close your lid here as well
This is another situation.
Screensaver with lid open --- BAD
Screensaver after lid closed --- OK
What is the difference in condition ? screen has been switched off !
