My Take

OK, I tried the MA3 on my XP machine at work and it looked good across dual screens using an ATI FireGL V7200 card.

Now, my critique. First, the positives:

1. Movement is fairly fluid. Can't wait to see coming behaviors.

2 3D is effective if you pan (I like stationary)

3. The menu for choosing fish is far better and easier to use-- such as matching fish with number. Before, I had to look up the fish to see whether I wanted it or not.

Negatives:

1. My control of foreground and background lighting is extremely limited. I should be able to go black to an over-exposed look.

2. No color choice for background graduation? Seems odd.

3. Extremely disappointed that all anemones are still static.

4. No way to turn off bubbles? (visual, not sound)

Wish Lists:

1. Any way to scale fish? No, I don't mean clean them. I mean make them larger or smaller. If I use this on a Home Theater screen, the fish will look huge. Would like to scale them down if possible. It would be nice to have a scaling box next to the fish in the menu. So an Achilles Tang would be x3 larger and a Percula Clown Fish would appear x.5 smaller if I so desired.

2. Would like, for those of us with capable boxes, the anemones to move. They are wire frames, a gentle and subtle wave is far better than static.

3. Possible insertion of custom image for the background.
