º is our equivalent for 1st(1º) 2nd(2º) 3rd(3º) 4th(4º)...
ª is the same, but it's used for female gender.
example:
floor(piso)=male I live on the 2nd floor=Vivo en el 2º piso.
house(casa)=female I live on the 4th house=Vivo en la 4ª casa.
