Not really on-topic, but this is why I will never buy a Sony computer again. It took me over 10 hours to install Windows 2000 on a Sony laptop that was "designed for XP".
95% of the drivers I downloaded would have worked perfectly but Sony insists on checking exact model numbers and failing with "This update is not intended for use with your computer model" messages. I saw that message so many times, I wished I could carve it into the chest of a Sony manager.
Sorry for the rant...
There's probably a great driver out there, but the odds of being able to actually install it due to these
idiot checks is probably very low.
