Could a "Check For Updates" not be added to the "Paid" for version, that would automatically check for latest version and download it as does DreamAquarium. Jim
I came to look for a new update because like others I also got the message that my version (9a
) 10 has expired. I like this idea that Jimkraz has here (quoted above), but I was thinking why make it overly complex - why not just add the button for everyone - but just keep the registration information intact with each new download (those that have registered won't need to put in the registration again when the new copy is downloaded, those that haven't registered will still need to put testfish in).
Either way though, not a bad idea from a consumer stand point - I am not a programmer though, so not sure how difficult that would be to add to the settings GUI.
