You're right, it should have been "fry" and not "pup", kind of a habit of mine I suppose.
As for the lack of apparent changes from fry to adult, I agree with you, it is very interesting. I know of one way to find out for sure though. I have a contact that works with Coelacanths, their long history, and the expeditions, he would know if anyone. Let me see if I can pick his brain and find out what he knows.
