3D Pipes is an openGL and not DirectX.
The 3DWindowsXP.exe should be good enough as a DirectX screensaver.
There is something that was mentioned that may be important. The Snap To behaviour of the mouse.
I will see if I can enable that on my computer to see if that generates the same problem on mine.
