For us, the volume certainly hasn't been in retail sales. Only about 15% of the units sold have been through stores, at great cost for manufacturing, shipping, etc., and we still have to provide customer support for those customers, even though the store and distributer got most of the profit. I believe you will find very few $20 packaged software programs which offer free upgrades.
