I have exactly the same problem.

System:

AthlonXP 1800+
512MB DDR ram
MSI KT3 Ultra motherboard
Asus Geforce4 Ti4400
Win XP Pro

I get jerky aquarium at all resolutions; not severe, but noticable. Sometimes, for no apparent reason it's smooth, but not very often and I haven't a clue as to why it becomes smooth. When first switching my computer on it's always jerky, but after using my computer for a while, as I say, it can run smoothly, but not always. It's not like I try to shut programs down in task manager to make it smooth - it just happens.
I've tried various detonator drivers - using 30.82 at the moment - but none have solved the problem. Also using Via 4in1 v4.40.

Just checked Processes in Task Manager and everything is 00 apart from Sytem Idle Process which is 99. I assume this is right?
Also, it doesn't matter if I'm on-line or not, the aquarium is still jerky.

Glad to find someone else having this problem (if you know what I mean!)

Used to run it on an old Duron system, Windows 98SE with Geforce2 mx and it was as smooth as silk.

Feel like it could be a difficult bug to find if there aren't that many people who are getting it...
