Max resolution and optimal refresh rate are two quite different issues. Typically, the higher the resolution – the lower the sweep frequency. I haven't been able to pick out what the maximum sweep frequency is for your monitor at your particular resolution, but since that model can handle 1280x1024@85 Hz, I'd say it can manage 1024x768@~100Hz (check your user manual for exact figures). The higher the frequency, the more stable the image so there's absolutely no reason whatsoever to run it at a lower frequency than it can handle.

On a side note, I can add that I've just ordered the pieces for that system and now I find myself walking back and forth by the door waiting (for a week or two) for it to arrive...

As for as the defunct "S" key: That's news to me. – Anybody else hear of it?

Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.

"We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent.
I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says,
'Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.'
I suppose we all thought that, one way or another.
