Hi
Thanks for the advice. I will try some more drivers from the nvida & other driver sites to see if that clears up the problem. I have all background programs shut down via msconfig/startup, but thats not clearing the problem. I also noticed that the S key for fps readout is not doing anything - is this a known issue ?
Tiny Turtle - yes, apart from the the serenescreen problem I am very happy with the machine. I had a PIII 500mhz before and the performance increase has been phenomenal. Graphics run very fast with good fps. I run a lot of WWII flight sims which are CPU and graphics hungry and all of these now run very smooth. The Samsung dynaflat 957DF monitor is fine and does what I need it to. I'm not one of those people that have to have their monitor at max resolution on optimal refresh rate all the time - I find the lettering and icons at high res a pain to read.
