hi all. this questions for some techie friends of mine. they swear up and down that you cannot get a fps above your refresh rate setting on xp. they even have a white paper to prove it
theyve turned vsynce off but say it doesnt make a difference. they both have killer machines so im sure its not a horse power issue.
so, how do you do it? the paper talked about optimal rate. do you set your own refresh rate to get the higher fps rates? or are you only getting these high fps rates in windowed mode?
