Interesting with the FSB. What kind of improvements (?) are we talking about?

Not Sure, I can't put my AMD at default FSB right now. it's busy down loading disc 2 of LOTR, so I don't have any default vs. higher FSB comparisons.

But Since my AMD runs the Screen Saver at a higher frame rate than My P4 (with Rdram) even though it has a 300mhz Slower CPU and much less memory bandwidth. I surmised that the Fish Respond to an increased Front Side bus Clock more than Brute processing power. This is actually not unusual for 3D apps. The 3dMark2k1 Bench mark responds the same way. That's why Machines with lower CPU Clock speeds can have higher Score than Machines with Faster CPU.

I didn't really play with the Video card's settings. I just left them at the clock speeds I normally use for game play. Although turning up the P4's GF3 Core and Memory to their Max (255/545) still didn't allow the P4 to run the fish at the 240fps the AMD gets at a lower Video & CPU clock speeds.

if I could overclock the P4's FSB the tables would turn. (intel mthrbrd not overclock friendly)
