only 0.6 fps.... this is unbearable. no programs running in the background. i have a Piii 600mhz with 512megs of ram on windows 2000 with directx 8.1.

here's what i think might be the problem: i have a diamond viper v770 32meg video card. there are no drivers for windows 2000 so i am using the compatible nVidia riva TNT 2 drivers instead.

any ideas? ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
