I may have missed where Jim said that hardware limitations were becoming an issue. My understanding was it was the collision avoidance/prediction which is pretty much a freebie in all modern game...

Sounds like you've really got the detail you wanted to.

Have you tried running this new prototype at 1920 x 1080? I picked up a 24" Acer that runs this resolution for $250.

I just don't see software developers out there having to jump through hoops to do, for instance, the windows on a car, etc. There must be some routine that does all this.

I really never realized this was an issue with the model at all.

I thought the texture just had an alpha channel with transparency. I realize you usually just use 1-bit alpha in your DDS textures...
