Is this happening to the rest of you Mac guys?

Mojave - Marine Aquarium

Jim,

It occurred to me that if you contact all your registered users for the Mac version and ask them if they would support paying for a new version, I imagine you'd get thousands of offers.

This should be enough to warrant the reprogramming I imagine.

Just thought I'd put it out there...

I for one would be glad to pay the full amount again.

Nothing wrong on my setup. A late 2017 MacBook Pro with a secondary acer display hooked up. Not running hot and am now testing and have hit 1 hour and 15 minutes without any problems at all.

Thanks for the info.

So happy! 10.14.2 does the trick and we are Serene again over here!

Thanks Jim for staying at it and other users for posting that we're all good again.

@Jim re. GPU overwork: I don't have that experience.

uczmeg 12-21-2018 03:08 AM

Finally upgraded and I was disappointed that it didn't work.

A 2.7GB 'patch' later and all is good!

I even now have fishes when you type your password if the screen is locked with the saver on. Pretty sure that's new?

Samf99x 12-23-2018 04:09 PM

It works...

Since the new Mojave upgrade, it works now.

Samf99x 12-23-2018 05:40 PM

Jim

Yes, 14.2 does work now, but....

There still seems to be a bug because you can't configure any "Screen Saver Options for Marine Aquarium

You might want to look into this.

Mojave issue resolved?

I also encountered the incompatibility issue upon upgrading to Mojave. However today the screen saver appears to be working normally. Perhaps one of the recent system updates somehow resolved the conflict? I'm currently running version 10.14.3 Beta (18D32a).

Whatever the reason, I'm thrilled to be back to enjoying the beautiful fish! Many thanks to whoever is responsible for the fix!!

New information: Mojave version 10.14.2 is now out, and Marine Aquarium 3 for MacOS X is now running as a screensaver. I don't know what they did, but it's working flawlessly.:)

I'm not seeing this issue.

A quick check suggest, for example, turn the bubbles on and off.

Marine aquarium as a screen saver is fixed in the latest version of Mojave.

Ike Nassi 01-08-2019 09:26 AM

It works on the latest Mac OS X relelease of Mojave.

Jim Sachs 01-08-2019 11:15 PM

Thanks, Ike -- we got the message :)

I'am using Mojave 10.14.2 and this weekend suddenly Marine Aquarium 3 for Mac is working again as screensaver!

Jim Sachs 01-22-2019 12:41 AM

Yes, we made the announcement. 10.14.2 fixes the problem.

Marine Aquarium Mac 3.3 Status?

Now that the Apple update has resolved the problem with with screensaver mode on Mojave, are there plans to fix the transition bug and release a final version 3.3 for mac?

That would be up to Jim O'Connor, but I'd be surprised if he was willing to put in the time.
