Not working for me... What codec do I need?

patscarr 04-12-2005 06:48 AM

Wow! That looks great!

Tiny Turtle 04-12-2005 07:55 AM

I'm with Pat. Looks cool.

drfish 04-12-2005 07:58 AM

I've tried it on 3 systems and no luck so far... Maybe when I get home...

Marian Nichols 04-12-2005 08:04 AM

It worked for me and it is so neat, there's nothing like a movie of something to get the feel of how it really looks and this one looks great.

I notice that this site is free, I wish I had found this when I was wanting to share the video of Lauren instead I had to pay $60 for 150 MBs of storage.

feldon34 04-12-2005 08:24 AM

$60 for 150MB of storage??!?!?!

That is ridiculous!

You can get web hosting with 300MB of storage for $9/month.

I think I'm going to start setting up webspace for people who have been here at least 1 year and want a website or to store files.

Marian Nichols 04-12-2005 09:54 AM

Yes! Yes! Yes!
I would love that and I think so would everyone else and I wouldn't mind paying for it.
Especially if it is a better deal than what I have. I pay msn $24 a year for my web group so I am all ready paying $7 a month total for both.

Yellow Tang 04-12-2005 11:44 AM

Doc, it is DivX coded. You will find the codecs here: http://www.divx.com/divx/download

drfish 04-12-2005 12:26 PM

I'll be home soon so I'll check it from there, thanks!

klyntun 04-12-2005 12:49 PM

Nice video! Your tank looks even better in motion. :TU:

Morgan,
Websites would be great! Maybe I'd actually get going on one for myself, considering all the great knowledgeable help available.

drfish 04-12-2005 06:03 PM

Finally, I get to see it, and I agree with everyone else, very nice! :TU: I'm going to have to make my own video to keep up with you... ;)

Panthera 04-12-2005 07:52 PM

I love it! Great job YT. :TU:

Panthera 04-12-2005 09:14 PM

I wasn't able to view it in IE.. so I used Firefox.. but now I wondering why I can't view it in IE (Maxthon). I've upgraded QuickTime, DivX, and my flash player. What else do I need to do?

FishyBusiness 04-12-2005 09:17 PM

It plays in my Maxthon. I have WMP set as my default video player. It took a few for it to start playing becasue it's almost 5mb. After that, it played fine. When I click on the link, I see WMP embeded into the webpage. Make WMP your default player for .avi. Big files like that, I just right-click on the link and select 'Save target as...'

Panthera 04-12-2005 09:19 PM

But I shouldn't have a problem with the file being big.. it loaded quickly in Firefox.

FishyBusiness 04-12-2005 09:22 PM

Panthera, I edited my post.

Panthera 04-12-2005 09:59 PM

Thanks Fishy :TU:, it's working now!

Surferminn 04-12-2005 10:46 PM

YT - That is amazing!! Did you use the movie mode in your new Canon camera or what camera did you use? You caught it good. That blue stripe fish was so clear in it's guarding it's territory or being the head fish. And all your fishes seem to have personalities of a sort and awareness too, especially that big blue stripe one. You've got a pretty active tank there. No boring fishes swimming lazily in that tank. Thanks for filming it and sharing. If you have more, don't feel shy about posting them here. :TU:

I'll wait for that one!

Minn,
yes it was made with the canon ixus 30 (aka SD200), it can record movies with 640x480 pixels and 30 fps.
And yes, he is the boss! :D
I have to make another one, with the yellows.
