sound hangup

The sound gets stuck in one place on the track when this happens the only way to fix it is to stop the program and restart it. At first i though it was the sound card so i changed it out.
the music cannot be turned off or changed to bubbles to stop it.

Is this when playing the default music?. When you say stuck, do you mean that it plays the same section over and over, or just sustains the same note?

troyb 10-19-2008 01:52 PM

this is the default music the same note or cord is like a strum of the guitar that plays over and over

Jim Sachs 10-19-2008 02:22 PM

And the animation keeps going?

troyb 10-19-2008 04:03 PM

yes every things works fine and looks good and I don't know where in the music it stops it will cycle for a while and after afew hours when I check it the music will be hung up like the old records uesd to do

Jim Sachs 10-19-2008 06:06 PM

The worst kind of bug - intermittant and can't be reproduced on any of my systems.

troyb 10-19-2008 07:16 PM

I wish I could help more! maybe I will get another sound card and see if that fixes it Thank you for all your hard work and understanding have a nice day

henemly 10-19-2008 08:21 PM

Have you tried reinstalling your cards drivers? (sound)

troyb 10-22-2008 10:07 AM

I tryed updating the sound drivers it still gets stuck in one spot next I uninstalled all the sound drivers and reinstalled the latest sound drivers if this dosen't fix it I will try just the bubbles and not the music. It will run for a long time all day and into the night befor it hangs up. I sat and lissent to it for a while but the music is 5min 20 sec long and I had to go after a while

troyb 10-22-2008 03:02 PM

I just checked on it and it is still working good

troyb 10-23-2008 08:12 AM

I think this is not a bug after all ! I put another sound card in and then I redownloaded the drivers from creatives site then unstalled the drivers and then reinstalled the new drivers and it has been running for 24 hours with no problems. I am sorry for saying it was a bug when it was not.you can delete this whole thread if you won't to

Jav400 10-23-2008 08:15 AM

No need for deleting it, just glad that it was a driver problem and not on Jim's end. Glad you got it solved. :)

Jim Sachs 10-23-2008 11:19 AM

We'll leave the thread. If someone else stumbles across it with the same problem, maybe we could establish a pattern.

troyb 10-23-2008 11:58 AM

sounds good to me no pun intended I thank you for all your hard work and understanding

feldon34 10-23-2008 03:15 PM

So came down to a Creative Labs / Vista driver issue?

troyb 10-28-2008 10:58 AM

a creative lab sound card problem yes vista driver issue no I had a bad sound card! and a bad driver download! I got a new sound card and redowmloaded the drivers and all is well. I wish I could change the heading to sound problem instead of bug :awaiting feedback

Jim Sachs 10-28-2008 07:10 PM
