The banggai cardinalfish is quite a beauty. It gets my vote. So does the reticulated butterfly. Wasn't it featured in the Matrox Parhelia demo?

Some ideas for improvements...

Hello,

I love marine aquarium 2! I never saw a better fish simulation.
It is great!!! But there are some things I miss:

1. There are no eating sequences. If the fish sometimes stopped for nibbling at a rock, the sand or the walls of the fish tank this would make them perfect!

2. The 3D-background is wonderful but there are no movements of the non-vertebrates living on these rocks. Even very little movements would make it a real living background!

3. I miss anemones with slightly moving tentacles, crabs, hermit crabs, shrimps, sea urchins and some sea shells.

Here some examples:

Would be great if you could realize some of these ideas.

However, thanks for this great screen saver!

Is all the fish in the aquarium only suppose to be juveniles not adults,or only because most of the adults aren't that great looking?Because the Emperor Angelfish in the aquarium is an adult not a juvenile, just wandering.

Jav400 10-03-2003 05:57 PM

No, they don't have to be juveniles. Usually the coloring is better in juveniles, but not always. Representing the proper size and not filling up the tank with fewer fish also had a role to play I believe.

Thanks Jav400 for the info.

Oh! lovely Vermiculated angelfish.

I had that guy and the attached fish when I was 17 years old.

I hope the attached fish (I don't know its name really) and

the Vermiculated angelfish will be the next one in Marine

Aquarium.

I just downloaded the marine aquarium and I think it is great, but I've got a recommendation that might be easy to implement. I've turned off the automatic light controls so I can see the background light all the time, but it doesn't look that nice at night. Then I like the black background. But during the day, it looks better having the light blue background. It might sound trivial, but could a future version have a setting that lets the system clock manage the background intensity so it is dark at night, and bright during the day? Then my monitor wouldn't keep me up at night! Thanks.
