illegal operation

When I try to either preview or run GA I get the following message:

"This prgram has performed an illegal operation.....etc"

Specifically:

I have a Geforce 4 card, AMD1800+ cpu, Soltek SL-75FRV board, 256 meg (PC2700) ram, LG Flatron F700B monitor, Direct X 9.0b, am using the nvidia 41.09 drivers and am running 98SE.

Any and all help or suggestions are much appreciated.

try update your graphic card version to 45.23 here:

EDIT: Oops, I didn't realize he was running Win98. Ok nevermind. :)

Hehheheheheh...yes, just did this last night after I posted the message.

You know how it is, everything else works perfectly so why muck with the machine. Anyway, I'm still getting the same message with the new drivers (and Porsche 2000 is running a little jerky now - WTF?).

So, the search continues. Man do I want this to work.
