I hate these long threads. I hate posting in them because I can't make myself catch up on 10 pages of stuff.

Having said I didn't read the list, I'm sure all these are on here ultiple times, but for my money, I just want a bunch of corys, a bunch of discus, a couple of dwarf Gourami types, and a bunch of tetras.

Anything else you do is cool. Kilifish are nifty. People really love Cichlids.

Things I wouldn't use if they were in the list are bettas and guppies.

If you do Corys are they going to be able to stick their noses in the gravel as well as do their little swimming dances they do at the side of the tank? Will thye occasionally dash to the surface to get air like real ones?

On the money.

guppies are out. Dunno about bettas.

Jim Sachs 03-21-2004 09:20 PM

Bettas are also out.

adidas0911 04-10-2004 08:18 AM

Clown loaches would be cool, especially if Jim uses their clicking noise .

Jim Sachs 04-10-2004 08:59 AM

Clown Loaches are in. I haven't heard their clicking noise.

sunny 04-11-2004 12:24 AM

so a few things are in the list , when the freshwater aquarium approx. will be out?
is there many item are undone before the beta version?

Jim Sachs 04-11-2004 02:01 AM

Yes, there are a huge number of items to be done. There's nothing to be gained by attempting to give any time estimates.

Tiny Turtle 04-13-2004 01:14 AM

I've never heard the clicking noise of the Clown Loach except for when they're eating, but agree it would be a nice touch.

Nice pics. I never would have thought of keeping the fish still by pinning their head to a carrot.

shameless plug

Synodontis Multipunctatus is from lake Tanganyika... You simply couldn't include it without adding cichilds from the lake as well...

OMG, is that what they did? I could not figure out what the orange thing was. I think that should be animal (fish) cruelty.

Tiny Turtle 06-03-2004 07:49 AM

Marian, I can't figure out if you're being ironic so I think it's best to tell you that was just an example of Joker D. Sachs (pleasantly) warped sense of humour...

Marian Nichols 06-03-2004 08:02 AM

no, I was being sincere, so I have been had, unh? glad to hear that.

patscarr 06-03-2004 12:08 PM

Marian, you should have said that Eydasi had taken you over and wrote that other post. :)

P.S. Why did you ask Morgan to close that other thread? Not that it was my cup of tea, but you seemed to be enjoying yourself, and I am sure a few of the other members might have enjoyed it as well, and that is all that is important.

Marian Nichols 06-03-2004 12:26 PM

Well it was not much fun playing by yourself, and I kind of thought that maybe the rest of you thought me a kook, and I was talking to myself, and then I started answering myself and that’s about it…..

But Clint, loved him, he played real good.

Thanks for asking Pat, I did enjoy the role of Alien.

Liath 06-03-2004 12:29 PM

oh, we already knew you were a kook ;)

I am very studious I dare say.

Marian Nichols 06-03-2004 04:41 PM

I've kept scats before, they are mostly a brackish water fish, but like Mollies can tolerate both fresh as well as salt water. This makes them very easy to keep. to me anyway.

Tiny Turtle 06-04-2004 12:46 AM

I like 'em too. That is if it's the same fish we call Argus over here...
