Thanks for the info - I'll have to look up that piece of music.

Marian Nichols 05-06-2009 03:24 AM

I haven't added any music myself, so far am satisfied with what came with the program.

Not familiar with that piece. I've added in a small playlist with the following songs:

Mannheim Steamroller from various albums:
-Mist
-The Fourth Door - Relaxation
-The Sixth Door - Nostalgia
-Velvet Tear
-Amber
-Interlude
-Embers
-The Storm
-Rhodes Suite - Twilight at Rhodes
-Nepenthe

Yanni: The Morning Light

Mystic Moods: Halo Round the Moon

I keep meaning to go back into my music collection and hunt up some more soothing music to go with MA3 but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

I have the 2 CD collection of "Most Relaxing Piano Album in the World... Ever" from http://www.amazon.com/Most-Relaxing-.../dp/B000059Q4Q

I agree with Ralph, piano music is the best for relaxing.

If you enjoy piano music you have got to listen to Charlie Sneller. His soothing piano music is perfect for the aquarium. I own 5 of his CDs and my favorites are "Summer Breeze", "Colors of Fall", and Songs for a Quiet Heart". I was told he makes background music for the movie industry.

Disclaimer: I have no financial ties with Charlie Sneller, I just enjoy listening to his music. :)

When I first got the Beta I had very few mp3s lying around on my PC but I had the Secret of Monkey Island tracks sitting on my PC from when I put it on my Nintendo DS. So I added them and I could not have made a better choice if I had thought about. The combination of beauty and nostalgia is too much, I sit there too long staring at the screen :)

feldon34 05-06-2009 08:24 PM

OMG another Monkey Island fan. ;)

I've got all the fan-recorded and cover tracks recorded as well.

Trust me, add them to your playlist and stick on Random, it's well worth it ;)

And us MI fans are everywhere, we are just forgotten!

I've never heard of Percé, The Sweet People or Alain Morisod before either, but you can listen to it here.

Jim Sachs 05-07-2009 11:26 AM

Nice. Thanks for the link.

I added Orinoco Flow by Enya - it was used on a diving video made for me in the Yucatan many years ago and tends to fit well with underwater scenes I think.

I have been using Dan Gibson's "Shorelines- Classical Guitar", from his Solitudes Series using nature sounds behind diferent styles of music.
In particular i've really enjoyed "Adelita and Legrima" and "Romanza d'Amour".

For some free renditions of our centuries old musical heritage go here:

In particular and in reference to the SereneScreen motif check out "Air on a G string" rendered beautifully by the US Air Force Band:

I've been trying to identify/locate the music that's used in the currently-running GE television ads (healthyimagination.com).

Could someone identify it, please?
