It seems only 1 day after public beta release of GA, it has already been hacked/modified (defaced). I guess it also isn't exempt from being targeted. :(

Nothing computerized is exempt, thats the law of the land. It's probably from the same stupid site that has been doing this for some time. It might just be best to overlook this trash in the future. No point in helping them advertise.

Hey that one does not even look that bad, some of the other pics we have seen are really terrible (valentine's).

Where does one find such hacks? Some might be interesting to see ;-)

I find it less offensive to modify than to steal. I think in the past some of them were just changed graphics with no change to the keycode. Heck they may even get someone to buy it because of a hack like this.

Most of their stuff is pure garbage, stolen and redistributed. Please remember that we do not support or allow posting keycodes or hacked version's on this forum.

Yeap, best not to advertise it. All it does is get peoples curiousity up, and one person tells one person who tells one person till it's all over the place.

Fishbowl, I think one posting like this is fine for each product. So you'll have some lead-time til the next product, the Freshwater Aquarium (which I saw bits of running last night :) :)).

I guess he checks the Russian hack site every morning, go figure.

After 2 years of trying, their hacks are slowly getting palatable. Maybe 2-3 more years they'll sit down and write something of their own or add something truly spectactular? Of course they'd realize "wow, we've put all this work into this, wouldn't it be nice to get paid?" and then realise they are operating in Russia which has no profitable software industry.

Ah yes, but the keycodes that they give get disabled. So its back to square 1. :)

I have yet to see any of the Russian websites that modify the Aquarium provide a keycode. I could be wrong though.

As stated before, sorry but we will not give out any information concerning cracks, codes, or promote hacks. I cringe everytime someone posts one of these, cause I know what will follow. :( You are of course able to search on your own if it interests you that much, but please do not post your results here.

I wonder if these defaced versions come complete with a Trojan that transmits the users keycode to a website/address of their choosing?

Why in the world would anyone want user keycodes?

I wish I could find that Russian site everyone is talking about... the curiosity is killing me.

I hope people send links to key gens they find straight Feldon or Reichart or someone.

I assume Morgan did, I haven't seen your post. But you agreed to these conditions when you joined this forum. Our rules state that no keycodes or hacked versions of the aquarium may be posted or PASSED thru the PM system. If you are looking for things of this nature thats your right, but they should not be utilized on a server or forum system, that the creator of the real version pays for. To me that is in extreemly poor taste, and I think you will find that 99% of the members here do not appreciate things of this nature. We are lucky enough to be the OFFICIAL forum site for Jim Sachs, and should conduct ourselves accordingly.
