MarineAquarium Toilet Seat!

1 Attachment(s)
I found this original MarineAquarium Toiletseat in the great german fashion catalog ”Bader”... Question: is to use the Aquarium on things like this allowed? (Maybe on the Aquarium is something like a copyright?)
See photo attached.

Just want to let you know http://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/s...kelig/c022.gif

(If this is the wrong place for my post, moderator please move it to the right place)

Thanks for the tip, Helena. I'll have Prolific get right on it. (The case, I mean.)

Does Bader have a website?

Surferminn 04-14-2005 12:35 PM

Just took a 2nd look at your smilies, Helena -- They're Hilarious!! :D!! :D! Thanks for your post and the chuckle. :D!

Yes, www.bader.de

I found the seat in the swiss edition of the catalog of bader ("Summer Hits"), it has the product number 16F364. I just tried successfully to order one directly on the homepage (although I couldn't find a picture of the seat on the page...)

Maybe I should buy one before they take it out of the catalog  ;)

Socrates 04-14-2005 01:16 PM

IF you are going to do a product like that, how hard is it to hire a photographer to go take a couple of original pictures. Jeez.

drfish 04-14-2005 01:56 PM

Those crazy Swiss, you never can tell what they're going to do... ;)

Marian Nichols 04-14-2005 04:17 PM

I kind of like to have one, plus a matching shower curtain and curtain and ...

patscarr 04-14-2005 04:28 PM

Holy crap! :)

Jav400 04-14-2005 04:40 PM

You are half right, and all this time Jim didn't want fish poop messing up his aquarium. This has got to be worse.

starfish 04-14-2005 05:23 PM

I had an underwater shower curtain once.

klyntun 04-14-2005 07:12 PM

How do you take a shower underwater?

Jav400 04-14-2005 07:16 PM

Hold your breath? ;)

starfish 04-14-2005 07:25 PM

Very carefully.

klyntun 04-14-2005 11:28 PM

Seems kind of redundant. ;)

Hold on, I'll see if Relensi has the answer. I would ask Eydasi but she is on the other side of galaxy taking a much needed vacation.

I know, I know, I saw the .de but she said it was in the Swiss catalog... Besides, I'm part Swiss so I can make fun of them. I don't make fun of Germans... ;)

Tiny Turtle 04-15-2005 07:17 AM

I thought you were all Dutch... ;)

drfish 04-15-2005 07:55 AM

Almost... Jennifer tries not to think about it... ;)

Yodelking 04-15-2005 08:20 AM

Heya!
This is something to add to prolific's homepage: "As seen on your toilet" ;)

Honestly I think this seat is quite cool, I'd buy one if the profit went into Jim's pocket.

klyntun 04-15-2005 08:35 AM

Unfortunately all Jim gets is what ends up in the toilet.

agree to add to prolific homepage. if you can't beat them, might as well take advantage of their free advertisement and point them back to us if possible.

however, disagree on getting one. i like my toilet seats plain white/off white color so you can tell it's clean and clear when one sits one's precious tush down. ;)

might go for a shower curtain tho. :)

loub516 04-15-2005 09:04 AM

If Jim doesn't want icons on his work as a desktop, I'm sure he doesn't want peoples butts on it. :)

I've heard that! http://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/s...boese/a035.gif I'm proud being Swiss, you know :p ;)

Well Bader is originally located in Germany, but they have also a distribution for Switzerland; so I saw the seat in the swiss catalog.

I could not possibly make fun of people who make such delicious chocolate.

cjmaddy 04-16-2005 05:24 AM

Lets hope Prolific finally get to the bottom of this.
They should be doing something about this instead of just sitting on it!
Then again, some may think this is yet another missed sales opportunity allowed to go down the pan.
At least the Swiss and Germans can have an aquarium in their 'bathrooms'. ;);)
Think of it this way Jim, you can say that your work reaches the parts that most others' work never reaches.
Don't think of it as icons obliterating your art work, - rather your art work held close to their innermost feelings.

I think I'd better stop there, before I get poetic! :D

Marian Nichols 04-16-2005 05:31 AM

Thinks so too, Cliff ;)

Cliff
Perhaps they did have the idea but didn't think it would bowl anyone over.

cjmaddy 04-16-2005 08:33 AM

I think you're right, - we await to hear their explanation, at their convenience.

..... It could be a case of being flushed with success.

loub516 04-16-2005 09:04 AM

..or perhaps they thought with all the orders they wuoldn't be able to handle the overflow. After seeing the picture they might decide to plunge right in.

handimannbob 04-22-2005 10:20 AM

lol
let's chip in and get one for jim.....and when can we get a shower curtain, we'd love one.....

Q-Beam 04-25-2005 03:56 PM

Oh my goodness. This thread just went down the tubes !!!! LOL

Jim Sachs 04-25-2005 11:12 PM

I think Reichart is looking into ordering a couple.

cjmaddy 04-26-2005 02:44 AM

MarineSeatMD ... ?

Would that be for a two seater, - or is the second one to be hung behind the door to view whilst 'reading' ?

cjmaddy 04-26-2005 10:41 AM

I should of course have said 'two-holer' not 'two seater', - my apologies! As a reader of Lem Putt from way way back I should have known better!

I didn't realize that Jim was also a privy Specialist, - is there no end to his talents?

I first read this very slim volume when my dad brought it home whilst I was in my teens, - and it's still available today! - If you haven't got a copy of it on your bookshelf, - then why haven't you? :) ... Especially if you're a southern belle from NC. ;);) :D

Edit:- More links, full text.

Marian Nichols 04-26-2005 12:42 PM

"Well, suh, I's gotta have me a copy ov dat thar book. Might be righ nice readin' et dat." :TU:

Hi guys, haven't been active on the forum but have been checking in every now and then. I ran into the 'Limited Edition Serenescreen Toilet-seat' today. I hadn't seen it before so I decided to take a picture (and then found this post :p)

There was no brand-name on the box but they are being sold by Gamma: http://www.intergamma.nl/UK/index.jsp.

The thing is hideous by the way, my mobile phone camera made it a little worse but the image is very grainy and stretched...

patscarr 08-23-2008 11:46 AM

The price went down.
