Marine Aquarium 3 Seen in Cats and Dogs Revenge of Kitty Galore

Feldon, I know there is a "siteings" thread somewhere, but I had trouble locating it. Please move this post there if you determine it should be moved.

Jim, just in case this was done without your permission I thought I'd let you know that there are at least two parts where your screensaver is shown in the movie. For quite a long time too.

If they didn't pay you something they should. (or maybe the advertising is enough?)

Jim Sachs 08-24-2010 09:29 PM

Nope, they didn't ask permission. They probably throught they were safe with a movie I was guaranteed never to see :)

Cats and Dogs

Yep, I have a ten year old son and he wanted to see it soooo bad that we finally took him. It was actually better than my wife and I expected. It wasn't painful to sit through and we did laugh a few times. Our son enjoyed it quite a bit. So overall it was ok.

I'm glad to have made you aware of the Aquarium's use since they didn't ask. I hope you're able to get something for its having been. Perhaps you could trade having a movie made? - I'd hold out for that! :)

The Aquarium has never carried any kind of terms/conditions about public exhibition. Movie studios only gain the rights they *need* to, and since the Aquarium copyright doesn't indicate that any rights must be obtained, they don't.

For those of you who haven't seen it yet, here are the scenes from Cats and Dogs Revenge of Kitty Galore which feature MA2

You need to change the title of the thread, Pat - shown in those images is MA2, not MA3.

Nice vidcaps, though. :)

Jim Sachs 10-31-2010 10:24 AM

Those are great, but there are too many of them and they all try to run at the same time resulting in about 1 fps.

JohnWho 10-31-2010 12:48 PM

What!?

You mean the movie wasn't filmed in slow motion?

:)

patscarr 10-31-2010 02:57 PM

They all run smooth on my machine. Maybe wait until they fully load.

I didn't title this thread.

Jim Sachs 10-31-2010 03:47 PM

It's been 6 hours - how long do they take to fully load? :)

Doh. Looks like I did it again. :dunce:

Oh, the caps run fine on my machine, but I suspect Jim's machine is a little more midrange, or possibly even low end, what with wanting to support as low a spec as possible for all those customers out there with low end or old machines.

Ralph 10-31-2010 10:30 PM

Mark, I think they run off your local computer while the rest of us have to run them off the server??? they run pretty slow here as well

Wizwad 11-01-2010 04:31 AM

Ralph,

You think my machine is downloading them to cache? You're probably right as I thought that was the way these things work unless specifically told not to.

<--(not an expert at media streaming by any stretch of the imagination. I'll go do some research)

Using IE (but the concept if not the key strokes will work with most any browser)

Right click on any of the images.

select "Properties" and then highlight and "copy" the URL of the image.

Then either open a new tab or browser window and paste the URL of the image there.

It will run faster and maybe at the correct speed then.

Or just saved them to hard drive with any image viewer as I always did on my old Win98 machine.

And that cat is scaring, don't you think?!

Jim Sachs 11-02-2010 10:37 AM

Yeah, those hairless cats have always been scary-looking to me.

loub516 11-03-2010 08:59 AM

Yeah, ICK!!!

henemly 11-05-2010 12:59 PM

Mega sized gif's
Hideous hairless animals.

Nicki 11-06-2010 10:14 AM

FWIW, there's a vet show on our local community access channel that runs MA3 on a tv that's built into the wall so it looks like an actual tank.

Jim Sachs 11-06-2010 10:16 AM

Any way of doing s screenshot?
