Sliver of Light - Aliasing or a hole?
1 Attachment(s)
I circled in green on the attached pic where I see what looked like a sliver of light when scrolling right but disappears when you scroll left. Not sure if it is aliasing or a hole. I texted my comments in the pic but not so good at using Windows Paint so left it in as is. But look in the green circle, etc.. I realized afterwards I could have described it here instead of in the picture. Oh well. :o

Well, that's not really a hole, it's the edge of a polygon. Polygons don't work very well when viewed edge-on, which is what's happening here as the camera moves. I'll look into it when I get a chance.

Does anyone remember where that previous "hole" report (and screenshot) was? I've gone through all the threads, and can't find it again. Was that also one of yours, Minn?

Jim, I think you might be thinking of the thread titled Very Odd Bug
|
That's it - Thanks Dreamster :)

Not sure if this a bug or if it has already been mentioned but I have noticed that there is a line that for a moment disappears when the saver reaches the end of the aquarium ( left side) and then reappears when it starts moving again. I have included a screen capture and put a yellow mark around the suspect area.

Lets try that again with an enlargement...

That's a seam between two textures, which shows up occasionally on some systems. Sometimes Full-Screen Antialising makes it worse.

Hi Jim, I noticed another hole in this pic. It seems to pick up the color of whatever swims over it and it kind of flutters. I have only seen it using in on dual monitors. This is in Beta 2.

Hey,
Thats not fair! - I found that hole. You can't take it away from me. Go and find your own hole! Only joking, I reported that a couple of days ago and Jim said he will fix for an upcoming beta. Thanks Regards, Neil |
Yes, I was trying to find the post last night, but it was a little too late to put the fix in Beta2. It will be in Beta3.
