See? Already there's a flurry of activity, and I haven't even said anything yet.

I've ordered a new battery for my roaming laptop, which is making its way from British Columbia to my house overnight apparantly. So I'll be able to take my XP laptop out and about with me again. More chances for people to see my favourite virtual aquariums (DA & MA3). My W7 laptop never leaves my bedroom. Yes, you can call me Sheldon Cooper if you like ;) .

But Jim you are being very naughty keeping us all in suspense.

And Mark, backatcha :p :D

Wizwad 05-12-2011 01:24 AM

:D

So. Jim? *eyebrow*

cjmaddy 05-12-2011 02:25 AM

..... waiting with bated breath...

nicksteel 05-12-2011 04:54 AM

I've been following the forum for several years, beginning during an assignment in Saudi Arabia. MA was really unique, being one of the first virtual progams to simulate living creatures. Since then, I've followed each new development and always enjoy logging on to see how everyone is getting along. The forum is very friendly and laid back, with Jim's work serving as a core for the interests of many people from all parts of the globe.

Let me just finish Harvey and I'll get back to you...

Ralph 05-12-2011 11:51 AM

Talk about teasing us....:D

henemly 05-12-2011 05:20 PM

A secret creature pack? New seahorse?

grape_jellyfish 05-12-2011 05:24 PM

A jellyfish?

Nicki 05-12-2011 05:43 PM

Massive decorating party at Jim's new house.

Wizwad 05-13-2011 04:11 AM

Which would mean the roof must be finished!

Jav400 05-13-2011 04:35 AM

The roof thing isn't a big deal to me for just a party, I am concerned about the bear thing though. ;)

drfish 05-13-2011 06:28 AM

You got my attention.

Yellow Tang 05-17-2011 01:42 AM

Yeah, finally the freshwater is finished! ;)

Wizwad 05-17-2011 03:50 AM

I thought of saying that, but didn't want to jinx it! Or Jimx it. Something like that, anyway. :D

ESHIREY 05-17-2011 10:58 AM

No matter what it is I haven't been this excited since Christmas day. hohoho.

:| ..... :asleep:

Jim Sachs 06-19-2011 08:26 AM

Ha, ha - I did get back to you, but in a different thread.

The announcement is that I'm now hard at work on the Freshwater tank. So far, I've been porting all the old pieces from 2004 into a DX9 environment. The bubbling treasure chest and the gravel are looking good, as are the 4 freshwater fish in the tank. Now comes the time-consuming job of creating all those 3D background objects.

ESHIREY 06-19-2011 08:46 AM

Boy I can't wait to get a look at this.

Wizwad 06-19-2011 12:13 PM

Are these fish going to have an updated model/texture style, or are they going to be in the style of the current MA models?

(And the follow-up question which lies behind the first question: will they be able to interact with the environment?)

Not pushing either way - just wondering. :)
